Forewent the midtown concert because Tara activated her ‘traveling’ D+ and we fell into watching the first 3 eps. We liked the characters and recognized a lot of the soundtrack, but we both had issues suspending belief. Which is ridiculous because it’s the MCU so you gotta believe in superheroes. Time was weird because everything seemed to happen in a few days, really fast considering. And the whole ai hologram brought up lingering questions I’ve had about the Doctor in ST:Voy - like how does that even work? I didn’t quite remember who Stane was but Tara jogged my memory. I do like RiRi and Stane, so that’s keeping me watching. Plus e3 ended with a decent cliffhanger.

Only 3 more eps. The jury is still out about a D00M recommendation… I’m confident Greg will chime in soon…

Ep01. I guess this works if the genius is also an idiot. For the life of me I cannot remember Riri's backstory or where we saw her last. That might help with this story.

Well, yes, there is that. However I found plenty of chuckles. M'Baku was funny. And Riri has some decent, albeit hackneyed lines. Which brings us to Riri...

Riri was a college student, at MIT no less, so not quite a kid, but we're old, so that one slides. Riri is key to yet another upcoming MCU show, specifically her upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart. Riri's father, the one who she thinks is dead and left her that sweet ride, is a member of the Ten Rings. Enter Shang-Chi. The Ten Rings emblem also appears in Ant-Man (setting up the next one - Phase 5.1 Quantumania) and in Mrs. Marvel (setting up Phase 5.3 The Marvels). This is scheduled to all play out in 2023.
