Time to disappear. A big chunk of money just hit an account I have sole control of.

I had to do two money transfers to my sisters today. I went into the branch rather try and do it online because the transfers always get stop by the fraud cops at Chase. Naturally, I complained to everyone at the branch about the problem while I set up the transfers. I had more time in the bank because I was also parking some of the cash in a CD while we finish selling houses.
Before I completed all my transactions, the first wire transfer went through to Antarctic sister.

Once I sent off the money from the house to the sisters and opened a giant CD, I thought I was done for a bit while we waited for the last home to sell.
Sort of forgot about the BofA. I get to go to Madera (further away than Oakhurst, closer than Fresno) to do some notary work and complete some more paperwork.

The good sister, after multiple trips to the county clerks office, finally got the apartments transferred into my name today. I think I did three trips to the notary before the papers were done correctly.

At this point, it might’ve been cheaper if you just got certified as a notary and did it all yourself. That always seemed like an easy gig - notarizing…

The good sister did get qualified. But it's one of those hustling gigs if it isn't an adjunct to your job.

I guess if she didn't even cover you're notary necessities, she ain't got the hustle...
Of course, she'd have to be present, and I suspect you don't want any more of that than needed.

I did that when I worked for the property exchange company. You do about a half day training and take a test and you're set.

Woohoo! An easy one. The good sister realized yesterday we hadn't cancelled the home or car insurance. Since I have the files, I got to make the calls. Unfortunately, I could only find the car insurance file. The home insurance file was a problem because we went through a round of cancellations because of mold on the roof. The good sister thought we had insurance through Mercury. I was really looking forward to tracking down the home insurance policy after I dealt with the car people.
Well, it turns out the broker I called to cancel the car also had the policy for the house. I asked what I needed to do to cancel, figuring I would be sending in Death Certificates and forms. The broker told me I had done what I needed to do and the policies were cancelled. Huzzah. It should all be that easy.

It ain’t over until you don’t get the invoice for insurance renewal.
