@ BGC

4th time I’m seeing ST - 2 OSLs & once at the Greek.

Bri gets her bar results any minute now. We really need some good news.

Opener = Carola
The crowd is minimal this early, maybe 15 peeps deep. The empty cement floor is magnifying the bass pound. Luv dat bass but it’s pretty typical boots&pants riddem.
Handing out a lot of earplugs.
Crowd is dressy, flashy, fun. ST has their own fashion line of athletic dance wear.
It’s sold out tonight.

We’re making a killing on earplugs

We just ran out of earplugs

Shemanology is a DJ & a vocalist. Not bad. The crowd is bumpin.

We got more earplugs

Sofi Tukker still has their sound
They know how fire up their crowd right out of the gates

Home. In bed. Still wired from post show glow.

Tara & I had fun. Luv Sofi Tukker. Such a positive vibe. An inclusive dance party, fit, clean, sexy, open and stylish. I hope someday ST does an acoustic album. Sofi could do it - she’s a fine guitarist and has a lovely voice, especially when she’s echoing Brazil. Not sure what Tukker would do tho. And it’s their mutual chemistry that makes them work.

It was so joyful. There were a few Kamala shirts. We both needed a good night of fun, bass, and dance.

Made a lot in donations. Helped a few sychopals, one addaral + joint, one wannabe barfer gal, one dude with a cool blood sugar monitor that looked like an iPod hard wired under his shirt. Didn’t have to glove up.

Had a lovely dinner with Tara & Bri at Jijime beforehand. Totally recommend their seafood ramen, medium spicy.

Friday was refreshingly enjoyable.

This is the latest video from ST and even though this was shot in New York, it almost catches the essence of their BGP show last Friday.

I have a paper ID wristband from Friday on. It's my comfort accoutrement. Or perhaps my meditation.

I just decided to swap it with that odd black rubber mantra bracelet the Abbot gave me.

I finally cut my wristband. It was a cheap paper ID one, strictly for staff, and had no designation. But I kept it for a week because I was attached; I was clinging to what was likely my last RM concert of the year.

It's been quite a year.
