There’s 7 gals in the group. Each has a branded tamagotchi. They sell for $50 a piece. Fans are getting them all. 

Doors were at 6:30
Show started at 8
The hour & a half was to sell merch. There were lines at the merch booths that filled the hallways. 

XG goes hard. Song after song with intense complicated choreography and only a few minutes break in between. Then a long video break with Simon (their Svengali) djing. Then some solo songs. 

This is a seated show but the fans are on their feet screaming and waving their XG light sticks.

The soloists just covered Taylor Swift &. Destiny’s Child and I’m so confused.

Had the nachos. On the house. Not good. Didn’t know they were giving us food and got falafel wraps down the street. Those were delish. But now we’re stuffed.

There was a long break where the gals were all cutesy talking to the audience. Prolly catching their breath.

Now they’re dancing and singing again. Finally.

Ok, back to the good XG stuff. That was a long break in the middle that I didn’t care for at all but I suppose they need to catch their breath to put out their dance show.

Meanwhile I’m enabling a cute gal to vomit. I’m a good helper.

Tara mentioned that they don't have that much material. This is their first world tour. So there was a lot of filler in the middle. They started off super strong, with furious dancing, singing, rapping, and wild backdrop graphics. I particularly liked the wolf and eyeball graphics. We got to see that - about 4-5 songs. 

Got to see Woke Up - this video gives a taste of the wolves & eyeball motifs they deploy:


We got to see Tippy Toes, which was on the first Kpop spotify mix that Tara made for me (not my fav song but quite the earworm):



Then they kinda gassed out. A huge section in the middle that was filler - video, chatting at the audience, some solo covers. Then they got back to their small song catalog, busting out a few more hits with intense dancing and graphics - an assault of color on the eyes. But they didn't sustain it as long as their opening, breaking for more chatting. 

Ultimately, they didn't do my fav song, Undefeated. That's part of the Valorant videogame soundtrack, so we wondered if there was copyright issues (never mind the Swift & Beyonce covers). That was disappointing.

BTW, XG fans are called Alphaz.
