Somebody had to do it. And it shouldn't have been me. I knew it was going to be bad. But I had to see the car wreck. Well, most of the car wreck. I don't know if i will go back to see how the broken bloody bodies fared.
Josh Duhamel's Tom is about to marry Jennifer Lopez's Darcy at a destination wedding in the Philippines. Naturally, both Tom and Darcy have cold feet about the wedding. Naturally, all the in-laws are crazy brought to us of Cheech Marin representing the bride and Jennifer Coolidge on the grooms side. Naturally, pirates come and disrupt the ceremony.
First off, when has Jennifer Lopez been good in any movie? I can't think of any. And no matter how messed up she gets in this movie, from falling out of trees to getting splattered with blood, she always looks perfectly coiffed. It has to be in her contract. Josh Duhamel plays the female role sort of. If Lopez knows what to do and tries to do it, Duhamel is always doing the wrong thing.
There is the killing of people for laughs. There is a big twist which I saw coming a mile away. I switched off right before the big show down.
Lenny Kravitz also plays a role as Darcy's former fiancee that Darcy's Father Cheech wouldn't mind seeing her back with.
I am so not recommending this picture that I suggest you stay away from Amazon Prime for a week.
