RIP Barbara Walters

When I started doing interviews, it was not something I envisioned ever doing. So I shamelessly imitated the masters. I studied Walters, along with Terry Gross. Walters had spoken about her interview techniques. She said she liked to lull her interviewee into a half sleep, so they dropped their guard. I often e devoured to emulate that. She was a brilliant interviewer.
