I was hoping the pictures from Arizona from Scapino showed a reconciliation of sorts between him and his dad. There was some easing of tensions between the two but unfortunately it seems the trip to Arizona was for a different reason entirely.
I guess I've know Scapino's Dad as long as I've known Scapino. I'm pretty sure he always thought of me as a nitwit, while I thought of him as a gruff SOB with a wry sense of humor.

Just saw Scapino’s fb post. I only have faint memories of his dad. I couldn’t pick him out from a line up.
Given Ken’s political fb posts, it must be even harder.
Is his mom still alive?

She is indeed. I talked with her for a few seconds while I talked to Scapino just a bit ago. She seems to be in good spirits, but Scapino stated she is still coming to grips with it.

I looked through my photos and was surprised I didn't find any photos of Mr. Gould. I thought for sure there would be one at least, but not. Then I remembered Ken's wedding. Again, I struck out. How could I not have photographed the parents? Curses. But then I spotted a group shot way in the background of Ken and his parents. This photo is from 2006.

Then I remembered a Christmas gathering we had and I thought Mr. Scapino might have appeared, but he didn't. But Mrs. Scapino did. This must have been the early 1980s. So much hair.

Mrs. Gould really has not changed much from the 1980's to 2006.
