This came up in some service's suggestion and I accidentally clicked on it. The first episode was a period piece (1950's?) with a frumpy housewife longing to be part of the ladies social elite. The side-story is of her veterinary husband, our fave, Nick Frost, helping folks with their ailing pets. Then, plot twist occurs, story lines cross, etc...
It seemed promising, but we noticed it was episode 1 of Season 2, so we decided we should watch Season 1 to know what's going on.
Well, Season 1 is completely different. A house...where a murder took place! 3 story lines, 3 different decades, all occurring in the same house. It wasn't written or acted well. The only recognizable name is Lucy Liu. Each episode jumped between the 3 decades and pushed each separate story along. The music reminded me of the music from "Pushing Daisies". It seemed like the entire season was just build up to the final episode where everything converges and the 3 story lines are played at once on top of each other in the same house. A character from 2 decades before passes a character from the present on the stair. It was trying very hard to be clever and didn't pull it off. Season 1 not recommended. Stay tuned for Season 2 review.
