Great cast. I'll watch Saoirse in anything - still bewitched by those Irish eyes. Also, Meryl and Laura Dern, plus an HP2 - Hermione and Prof Sprout.
It's disappointing. The dialog is too girly chatty to follow and it bounces to and fro in time so it's work to figure out when they are in the story. For example, a beach scene when they are kids cuts to another beach scene years later without warning. It's confuzzling. There's some good scenes, great landscape shots, but the editing just ruins it all. Just goes to show that a great cast delivering solid performances can be totally ruined by crappy editing. I've always thought this about fight scenes too. So much is in the edit.
There's sort of a sword fight - some kids in school learning fencing. But they're just lunging with sticks... and not wearing knickers... so it's not real fencing. Not recommended for DOOM at all.
