Pandora and the Flying Dutchman (1951)
#1
An odd take on the Flying Dutchman myth featuring a young James Madsen as the Dutchman and Ava Gardner as Pandora. Pandora is this hottie that steals men's hearts, but she's also a reincarnation of the Dutchman's love, who he murdered for infidelity, which cursed him to never die and wander the seas. There's also a race car driver working on breaking the land speed record and a matador that are smitten by Pandora.

I missed the very beginning because I was doing laundry and then fell asleep in the middle for a bit, so I was confused as to what was happening. But what I saw was okay. It was shot in Catalonia, so the coastline shots reminded me of our trip to Cadaques. And that old skool moviemaking sans CGI is also intriguing because they had to really do stuff, like stage the land speed record break attempt and a bull fight which used stock footage of a matador getting mauled - I disdain bullfighting and always root for the bull and Stacy predicted exactly how that scene would play out.

No sword fights but there's a matador sword. So maybe a sword fight...sword vs. bull. Not particularly DOOM recommended.
