I thought this was already reviewed somewhere, but the search function has failed me. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Didn’t take itself seriously, good plot, voice-acting and nice mix of animation and comic-book style. The best Spiderman offering? Certainly in the top 3.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Awesome. A really great addition to the canon. The film makers had a great time playing with the conceits of the genre and animation. Lots of great throw away lines. Lots of easter eggs. (One of them is a nod to Jackie Robinson of all people.)
The soundtrack is really good as well. Plenty of hip hop for all of us hip-hip aficionados.
I was glad to see Kingpin looking like Kingpin should look like. They even threw in some Bill Sienkiewicz art in some of the scenes.
Here is how much I like this film. I got it on DVD from Netflix. We saw it and was already to return it. But then I realized the Queen is going away for a week which means I could watch it again this week. Which I shall.

This was AMAZING.
Friendly too.
Loved it, the style, the storytelling, the irreverence, and yet it fit into the canon nicely. The end of credits scene nod to Bakshi was spot on. Even the Stan Lee cameo and tribute end bumper.
This was my favorite Spiderman so far.

Watched this again with Tara and her friend Sav (who has never seen a single Spider-Man movie - only the Avengers cameos). We all thoroughly enjoyed it. There’s so many great details especially in the background posters and signs and it’s so colorful. T saw things directed at her gen that I totally missed like some meme spoofs (next gen memes are compositional not phrase based - it’s hard to explain).
This remains my fav spidey flick.

Planning on seeing this in the next few days. This has always been a shitty franchise IMO, and I'm hoping this will be different.

Note that when you try to watch a popular netflixer right when it comes out, the load on the system makes the resolution go in and out and it frequently stalls. That was a bum out for this because the animation style is so crisp.

I had that problem and had to quit before the end.

Started on this, but was put off by the start/stop motion followed by text boxes popping up. I found it annoying and gave up.

That was pretty damn good. It took a little bit to get into it. KB, I would recommend trying again. Really clever blending of animation styles and genres. also, stellar envelope-pushing animation. I laughed out loud several times. The end credits were awesome and the post-credit scene was hilarious, like a Robert Smigel short.
Puts colliders in a bad light, tho...
