Taking another one for the team to the dismay of the Fiancee.
Netflix refuses to send me anything good. Further proof comes in the form of RIPD, a film that makes little if any sense whatsoever. Some of the dead decide not to move on after they have died, preferring to remain on earth. The RIPD is charged with bringing these Deado's as they are called to justice. Of course the non-leaving dead look just like us and can carry on their lives unless they are exposed to Cumin. Then they become grotesque horrible creatures which only a special bullet to the brain can extinguish them.
So many holes in the plot. So many things that didn't make sense. So much bad acting on the part of Jeff Bridges who can now only speak using the accent he came up with in True Grit. And the whole thing felt dull. On the plus side they actually showed Boston where the film was set unlike The Heat which only showed Boston in the opening and spent the rest of the time haunting row houses and warehouses. I kept thinking Ryan Reynolds could have bumped into Sandra Bullock for a Proposal sequel.
Lots of CGI characters that didn't quite blend in with their surroundings. But they made a lot of them for the Ghostbustersesque end.

So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit
