This is a 6 ep series about 87North, the hottest stunt team behind all that is awesome right now. It starts with an overview of Leitch & Stalheski, including an endorsing interview with Keanu, then moves to Eusebio’s work on Violent Night http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=7824

Ep1 introduces the stunt people and Eusebio struggling to create the pre-viz. it gets to the shooting of a scene with Harbour, then it takes a cliffhanger turn for the finish of the ep.

The Texas switch is defined and demonstrated. Of course we all know what that means in the stunt biz, but I’m hoping more jargon gets revealed.

Each ep is about 50 mins and it looks like it’ll be all about Violent Night. It’s got some great BTS stuff, which perhaps Greg might appreciate despite his rejection of that film (clearly he hadn’t had enough cheese).

It gets a little longwinded but it’s interesting enough because I follow these choreographers. It’s nice to see how they are irl. I’ll watch more.

Seen on peacock.

E2: I think I’m done. Despite the BTS reveals, it’s getting too longwinded. Sure, stunts are tough. Sure, stunt people get hurt. The show starts leaning to heavily into how hard it is to be a stunt person because you must sacrifice your family for this career. That’s not really a hardship. It’s a choice. The flailing grasp to tug on heartstrings looses its grip and starts imposing drama were there isn’t any really. I’d like to support this because it showcases stunt people I respect, but it’s just too obvious and consequentially boring.

I don’t think I’ll come back for more. Maybe I’ll skip to the finale. Or just abandon the rest.

Not D00M recommended.
