Undecided

RE: Wonder Man - Greg - 01-01-2026

Dammit. Missed it by 15 minutes. In my defense, i was watching Colbert on the CNN NYE program

And 2026 begins with DM=1, Greg=0

Woohoo! Starting the year off right!

RE: Wonder Man - Greg - 01-01-2026

Oh, it's on. But has it ever really been off?

RE: Wonder Man - thatguy - 02-04-2026

i have one episode left. They are short, 30min each, 8 in the season. I'm enjoying it. I don't always like Ben Kingsley, but I think he is really good in this and does a great Ringo Starr imitation. I've been binging 2-3 episodes at a time.

The story is about struggling actor in Hollywood trying to get work, but being difficult when he does. Turns out he has a super power, but he has to keep it secret because supes are blackballed in the movie industry. (One whole episode is devoted to explaining "The Doorman" and why this is so).

Hopefully the finale is a good one...

Finale was a little flat...not bad, just slow.

Reflecting on it, it feels like more of an epilogue. They could have done the final bit as a post-credit scene. I'm not sure if that would be "better" or just more in line with the Marvel schtick...

I think I'm three episodes in. I like the way it kind of skewers the actors journey. In the episodes so far, the super hero stuff is kind of secondary. Although the episode entitled Door Man kind of breaks that and devotes a lot of time to a different Super Hero. Where is Josh Gad?

I like Trevor. Ben Kingsley does a great job with this role and it's amazing he is still playing it. There is going to be a generation that won't think he has done anything else. And he is 80! I'll probably crank out the rest by the end of the week.

And finished. I liked it. It wasn't big and powerful but it was solid. I really enjoyed the Doorman episode. The final episode was very entertaining. I liked the look at Hollywood actors the show portrayed. Wonderman himself was kind of a jerk the whole way through, only thinking of himself. I hope we get to see more of Trevor.
