Diablo delivers just what it promises - Adkins v Zaror. Adkins is a loner on a quest to kidnap/rescue a crime kingpin’s daughter in Colombia. Zaror is a human terminator, balding with a serial killer’s obsession with making his victims ‘give themselves a gift’ before slaughtering them. It’s a villainous step for Zaror and he manages it well, although the character isn’t that complex. There’s plenty of opportunities for each lead to single handedly kill hordes of gangsters. And there’s a few fights between them, escalating each time, until the finale fight in an abandoned factory with a conveyor belt that leads to a spiky cruncher.
The fights are good. Dynamic, high impact, with kinetic cinematography that accentuates the action. We’d expect no less.
Recommended for D00Mers who want to see Adkins v Zaror.
