Electric State (2025) - thatguy - 03-15-2025 http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=7060&pid=75704#pid75704 Lots of recognizable faces in the cast. I really liked the look (which is directly from the book: https://www.boredpanda.com/scifi-girl-robot-traveling-artbook-simon-stalenhag/ ) The special effects that brings it to life were pretty amazing. The storyline was OK. The writing was not great, nor the acting. I particularly didn’tlike the music. It felt heavy handed at times, and the wrong tone in others. I thought itmight be library music, but the credits said it was alan silvestri which surprised me. Recommended for the effects, but only for that. —tg RE: Electric State (2025) - Greg - 03-16-2025 Yep. Not very good, but not as bad as the reviews suggest. I didn't think Millie Bobbie Brown was very good, but I haven't really liked anything she has done since she played 11 in Stranger Things. Chris Pratt seems to be doing a not very good riff on Star Lord. The effects were really good which is probably where the purported $380 million dollar budget went |
