Mary Poppins 60th Aniversary 20/20 - Drunk Monk - 12-18-2024
Very enjoyable. Learned some factoids about the Sherman Brothers & P.L. Travers, plus there’s a lot of archival footage and recording that were fresh to me. A lot of thr celebrity talking heads adoring the film was a bit obvs, but the original cast and crew stuff was solid. The significance of this film, as well as the Sherman Brothers, were given due praise. Both were absolutely key to the foundation of the empire franchise that is Disney today.
