Taylor Tomlinson: Look at You - Greg - 11-08-2023
Taylor Tomlinson will be the new host after Colbert on CBS. I'd never heard of her so I thought I would check out her special to what she is about. Much like Hannah Gadsby, Tomlinson mines her mental health struggles for comedy, but Tomlinson isn't nearly as effective as Gadsby. Some of the bits were very funny but most of the jokes earned chuckles. I think the Queen was more in tune with Tomlinson's tales of dating struggles than I was.

I've seen a lot of her clips on social media (TikTok mostly). She's amusing. Not sure if I'd watch an entire special of hers (but that's true of many stand up comedians nowadays for me).
We'll see how she does as a host. That requires a special ability to shine the spotlight on the guest.
