I booked Lucidity. I need inspiration and festivals are a major muse of mine, as y'all know.
My plan is to work Thursday morning, then head south after lunch. I hope to pitch my tent before dark. Then my exodus will be Sunday as soon as I can get it together. I've been unsuccessful in getting an accomplice so far, so it might be a solo quest. I did get a call from three of RMs senior women who have an RV and invited me to join them (I was strangely honored that they'd reach out) but they don't come out until Monday and I must be back at work by then - can't lose those precious days.
I only recognized a few performers. It's more of a scene fest. I'll bring my yoga mat...

No rain forecasted for SB anymore. Just some for the Cruz. Never did find an accomplice but I’m looking forward to the solo journey and a test of my 2023 fortitude. I’m excited. Need to sleep but have those pre-fest jitters. Lucidity is a whole new ballgame for me. A new world, a new civilization. I shall boldly go.

What a curious new rabbit hole is Lucidity. We have a tight crew - just 13 and everyone is seasoned supervisors except a crew of 3 (one of them it’s their first camping ever and the other two it’s their first festival) none of my usual accomplices for something like this.
Signal is spotty. Way too many people overloading the tower and the 5K patrons aren’t even here yet. The entrance is all messed up because the storms washed half the field away. Parking is crazy (best to have 4wd which I don’t have on Darth).
Note to self - 2:00am is good signal access. At least for tonight. Maybe I’ll read some of your posts.
Tgs rona post harsher my buzz so I’m staying here for the weekend.
Right now, it’s cool but not cold, I can hear generators, distant amplified drums, occasional passing nite owls, crickets and frogs. I should sleep. No point is staying up any longer.

This is one of those places that on Monday my cheeks will be cramping for smiling so damn much. Truly sweet community.
The fest virgin gals want to do the twerking session and then the make your own mouthwash session. Might tag along. The first yoga session starts with yoga then moves to pole stuff. Might skip that.

There is no elemental stage. But whoever closed it, killed it, sorta -would’ve been better if he didn’t talk so much between songs. Solo acoustic Guiltar with loop tracks built into a massive fun roots sound- impressive. But a little too long
My radio just beeped - baterry died. Just Fumero to my sleeping bag. Just turning off the radio tonight. If needed, everyone knows my tent because of the Grateful Dead flag and darth yoda.
