I seem to have succeeded unscathed. Although it was worrying to be 12' in the air in the rain 3' from the lines that bring power to the house. I did find out the dish isn't secure on its base. You can rotate the dish some on the pole and that's what the wind did. At this point I don't see how to secure the dish to the pole. I might have to call the nice men from Directv to fix it.
