Bingo the Clown - El Dingo - 04-04-2007

Who doesn't love clowns?

Bingo the Clown

Thanks - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 04-04-2007

That's just what I needed as I face another day of soul destroying work to lift my spirits

wow... - cranefly - 04-04-2007

I must say, no one finds the really weird clips like El Bingo.

Hats off from cranefly and the lady.

Interesting - Haggis Killer - 04-05-2007

This is, of course, right in my wheelhouse. "Bingo", 1998, was directed by Chris Landreth. He is a long time cg pioneer and researcher. He typically uses pre-release software packages to create his animated films, showing off the capabilities of the forthcoming software. His film after "Bingo", 2004's "Ryan" won him the Academy Award for best animated short film.

It's interesting that for all the clips I found on youtube for "Bingo", none of them had any credits for the creator. Chris is a bit of an odd duck, but the guy still deserves credit - or blame - for his work, huh?

I would love a high-quality version of Bingo.

Is it available on DVD? I know sometimes these shorts are bonus material on feature releases.

Good Question - Haggis Killer - 04-05-2007

Bingo was made while Chris was working for Alias/Wavefront. As a software company, they're not at their best for film distribution.

However, thanks to the NFB and Amazon, it's available on the "Ryan" special edition dvd.
