RIP Dave Young - King Bob - 06-29-2022
Dave was my brother in law. A couple of you probably met him at my wedding, but I imagine you may not remember.
He didn't feel well last night and wanted to go to the ER. His wife wanted to call 911 but took him. He had a heart attack on the way. They stopped at a fire station and the EMTs worked on him and transported him, but they never could get a pulse going. I imagine it wouldn't have made a difference if they had called 911.
I'm going to miss him. When I first met her family, he immediately made me feel welcome, talking to me like an old friend. And he was the one family member who really liked my art - one of my better collectors in fact.

Did he have a history of cardiac issues or was this a total surprise? How is Christina holding up?

I'm fine because I'm emotionally stunted. She took it hard - she knew him since she was 16 - but is holding together. unsurprisingly, now she wants me to go to the doctor.
I don't think he had any history of that but I don't know. We're going there (San Diego) so I guess I'll find out.
