Ep 1 - backstory. An autistic boy’s mother gets hit by a truck when she follows after him into the street. It is discovered that the boy has fantastic memory, but no emotion. Fast forward to the present and that boy has grown into a brain scientist. He is studying transferring the memories from one individual to another. He’s rodent based studies are unsuccessful, but he has a breakthrough when one of the rodents dies and the memory sync works. Assuming that one of the patients has to be recently dead, he tries to move forward with human studies, but can’t get approval and decides to do it on his own. And like The Fly, has to use himself as a subject.

The takeaway quote from mid-episode is:

“After syncing with the mind of the dead, strange things happen”

Indeed…

This feels like a thriller, but there is also a mystery to solve and while it’s a little unclear what’s going on at times, it becomes more clear by the end of the episode.

Some gory bloody moments, cockroaches, and a giant shambling mound.

Curious to see where this goes. I understand that EP 2 is more setup, so I’ll have to give it a few more.
