RIP Norton Juster - King Bob - 03-10-2021
I had to post this on behalf of ED because he once mentioned his love of The Phantom Tollbooth. And I have to agree; even though I never read it as a child, I enjoyed it as an adult. The Jules Pfeiffer drawings also make it a classic. I have to admit that I had no idea he was still alive. Nice obituary in the NY Times.

I was in the middle of reading that to my daughter when my son was born and we were stuck on baby names. Chroma conducting the dawn was one of the most memorable bits, but there were many.

Aw, damn. That's one of my favorites of all time. The Mathemagician and King Azaz the Unabridged, Tick (or was it Tock) the Watchdog, the staircase to infinity, the Spelling Bee, all kinds of good stuff.
I didn't know he was still alive either.
