Deadwood The Movie (HBO Max) - thatguy - 03-08-2021 See: http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=1513&highlight=Deadwood And http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=633&highlight=Deadwood The movie takes us back to our favorite den of muck and villainy for another heapin’ helpin...but this time, it’s 10 years later. All the familiar faces are there, just more tired and world weary. There’s a Senator George Hearst coming thru town to celebrate South Dakota becoming a state, so the town’s all abuzz with the preparations. The first half of the movie is focused on reintroducing the cast and what’s happened in their loves since we last saw them. Then shit goes down, and different shit goes down. Marshall Tim Oliphant has to do the right thing. Everything is wrapped up at the end. Satisfyingly or not. It’s a good closure for the story and fits right in with the rest of the series. It really feels like a long single episode, like a Christmas special or something. Recommended (no sword fights tho) —tg |
