MHz (Megaherz) is a channel that shows Euro TV shows (and some movies) in the native language with English sub titles. Lots of crime series, some spy stuff, too.
A lot of the books I've read have been turned into series, so it is quite enjoyable. Notable are the Camiliere books featuring Inspector Montalbano (and gorgeous Sicily) Donna Leon's Inspector Brunetti books featuring lovely Venice are just a couple of the offerings.
If you like your crime sub-arctic and Nordic, they have a bunch of those, too. Tons of MurderSwedes.
