I don't know where this ranks on the excitement scale, but there is a new translation of Journey to the West coming out next week, Feb 9.

Translator Julia Lovell has a great reputation. I'm sure her take on this is superior to Waley's translation, which is the Penguin standard.
And I've met Gene Luen Yang - he's a leading azn comic artist and he's local to the Bay Area. He's done a lot of groundbreaking work like the New Superman and Justice League of China. I like his stuff a lot.
So it's sort of exciting but I doubt I'll engage it. I did poach this for KFM tho so thanks for that.
