Sword of the Beast (1965) by Hideo Gosha - cranefly - 01-20-2021

Betrayal and treachery on many levels as a fugitive samurai seeks refuge with a poor farmer and his wife who are poaching gold from the shogun's mountain.  Many other factions come into play and clash in various ways.

I saw this a while ago and it doesn't stick in my head much.  It's solid, but not as satisfying a story, and not as jam-packed with swordfights, as Three Outlaw Samurai.
