The Man Who Invented Christmas by Les Standford - King Bob - 01-08-2021

Unlike the film this is non-fiction, about Dickens writing A Christmas Carol. It includes a lot of other biographical information about the years leading up to that, and some about the years after. Some discussion of 19th century publishing and also of the later permutations of the story. I was familiar with some of it but did learn some things. Entertaining and not too long, but only recommended if you are fond of Dickens.

You can pick up some of this from the film, which I thought only okay at first, but enjoyed more on a second viewing.

Didn't care for the film. But you knew that.
