The BeeGees: How do you mend a broken heart (HBO 2020) - Greg - 12-14-2020

Gosh, it must be nice to have a huge budget to do a doc. But then I say that pretty much every time I see any documentary.

It's the Bee Gee's story told through archival footage and interviews with the remaining members of the band which would be Barry. They also interviewed contemporary musicians like Noel Gallagher, Joe Jonas, Justin Timberlake and Chris Martin. It was a good history lesson on the band. Lots of talk of what they did in the 1960s, which I was unfamiliar with. It's a very familiar arc. They struggled. They got famous. They fought and broke up. They got back together again. They got super famous. The world turned on them and they never really recorded again. Although they wrote and produced tons of songs for other artists.

It was a good way to get a fuller picture of the band.
