Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Drunk Monk - 11-28-2020 A Bill Nighy vehicle. A black comedy about a father and son. There's another son who disappeared, ran away in the middle of a Scrabble game. This is about Scrabble and familial dysfunction. It's a quirky and amusing. The color schemes were hilarious. A tad longer than it needed to be, but good if you like Nighy. Jenny Agutter (Logan's Run, remember?) is in this. Coulda used a sword fight. Recommended only for DOOM Nighy fans. RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Greg - 11-28-2020 Jenny Agutter---Child's Play 2, thank you very much. RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - thatguy - 11-30-2020 Jenny Agutter - American Werewolf in London --tg (oh yeah, and "The Railway Children") RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Drunk Monk - 11-30-2020 She was also in the MCU. But that Logan's Run outfit...
RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 11-30-2020 Always Logan’s Run for this Yeti. RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Drunk Monk - 11-30-2020 I should watch that again. It was a fav and now I'm wondering how it holds up. I remember one of the very first cons I attended - a vendor had working Sandman guns. He rigged a small blowtorch in the workings so they'd fire just like in the movies. I remember getting one of those palm crystals there. It was one of my first pieces of fan merch. Wonder what became of that? RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 11-30-2020 It does not hold up. Treasure your memories of young Jenny and Farrah RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - cranefly - 11-30-2020 I wonder how old Jenny Agutter and Michael York were in Logan's Run. I know they were under 30, because... Well, you know... RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 11-30-2020 In the book it was 21. RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - thatguy - 12-01-2020 According to: https://howtt.herokuapp.com/?movieId=10803&title=Logan%27s%20Run%20(1976)&year=1976 Michael York was 34 and Jenny Agutter was 24 --tg RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Drunk Monk - 12-01-2020 Not a single one of my streaming providers carries Logan's Run. Having a sad.
RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - thatguy - 12-01-2020 You can rent it on Amazon for a whopping $.99! https://www.amazon.com/Logans-Run-Michael-York/dp/B0014BY72Q --tg RE: Sometimes Always Never (2018) - Drunk Monk - 12-01-2020 Don't want to go there. I already pay for AP along with other services and don't want to pay more. That just opens up pandora's box for me, ya know? I'm a vid addict obvs and need to constantly titrate my dosages. Gotta draw that line somewhere or all is lost. Besides, Yeti already gave it a thumbs down. But I'd watch it for free, or at least, on a service I'm already paying for.
