David Crosby: Remember my name (2019) - Drunk Monk - 07-27-2020
The opening story about one of Crosby's LSD trips a great hook. It's Cameron Crowe interviewing Crosby as they revisit his old haunts and memories spliced with vintage interviews with members of the Byrds, CSN and CSN&Y. There's some good stories. Crosby is filled with regret. It's amazing he, of all of them, survived, and he knows it. It was more engaging than I expected and I learned a lot of factoids that I didn't know before, and I was into CSN & CSN&Y. We've seen them - I'm astonished that I can't find the review here. It was a great show.
This doc is far superior to Echo in the Canyon (http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=5039). It's more focused and Crosby makes some revealing statements about his life and his legacy.
No sword fights. DOOM recommended if you liked his music or this period of music history.

I love me a good music doc. I'm looking forward to seeing the one on the Go-Gos that will be on Showtime in August.

This one is technically okay - not extraordinary from a filmmaking point of view. What makes it engaging is that Crosby has had such a rollercoaster of a life, so the subject is inherently interesting.
