Harriet (2019) - Drunk Monk - 05-23-2020

To be honest, I didn't know that much about Harriet Tubman apart from her being instrumental in the Underground Railroad. This presentation is a bit flat and predictable, and the visions from God could've been fleshed out better, but I found it educational, particularly the end when they listed off facts about her. She came off like a real saint in that biblical sense. I didn't feel emotionally moved, but educated.

No sword fights but some of the white kids has some toy wooden swords in one early scene. Yeti recommended because he should know about the namesake of his bae.

This was the other film that came to the house from Netflix.

Cool. I'll be eager to hear your take on it. There was something about it that I didn't like ... something about its formulaic hit-every-note presentation the fell a bit flat ... however, the subject is inspirational. It was one of those biopics that would have been a better documentary.
