Dark Shadows (2012) - Drunk Monk - 02-07-2020
Okay some major memory issues here. I remember enjoying the original show but I can't remember a thing about it. I was 2 when it premiered. Then I saw part of this on a flight but I didn't finish it. I think I fell asleep. Or the plane landed. Anyway, I remembered none of either so it didn't really matter.
Great cast - Depp, Pfeiffer, Johnny Lee Miller, Chloe Grace Moretz, Eva Green, Christopher Lee, Alice Cooper and HP1 - Bellatrix. Kinda dumb tho. Predictable. Depp hams it up like always, in heavy vampire make-up. Bellatrix is almost unrecognizable with an American accent. Pfeiffer was a matronly ice queen. Both Lees were underused. Moretz was the rebel teen and had some of the best lines. Green was really good vamping it up as a witch. Alice is only a forced cameo, which almost works but doesn't. Some okay effects, cheesey stuff really. Stacy laughed a lot, but she was tired and some stuff just struck her as funny, plus she likes Depp like I like Lynda/Charlize/Taylor/Shakira/Margot/etc.
No sword fights. Not DOOM recommended.
