RIP Muhammad Ali - Drunk Monk - 06-04-2016
I met him at ABA back in the early 90s. He was passing through the crowd slowly, due his disability, and people were circling around him. He stopped at a booth to look at a book on Islam, giving the vendor an appreciative nod. I couldn't get in for a photo (pre-digital) but shook his hand and made eye contact. There was still a fire in his eyes, a raw intensity that his disease couldn't smother. There was no question that he was still fighting, and giving it all he had.
