Alcatraz - King Bob - 04-27-2016
My nephew was in SF for a short internship and wanted to do a couple of touristy things. Having never been to Alcatraz, we took him.
I thought it was great (maybe odd to say about a visit to a prison). The audio tour (free) was interesting and had high production value - I expected much less from the Park Service. And the view of the city on the way back is fantastic.

I went a few times as a kid when my parents were taking relatives on tour.

It is a nice ride on the bay, and the waterfront is a pretty walk.

Just don't believe all the propaganda they feed you about Sam Shockley. He was actually a very nice guy.
