"Witching and Bitching" aka "Las brujas de Zugarramurd" - El Dingo - 10-26-2015 This movie looked terrible. I have no idea why I added it to my Netflix streaming queue but I'm glad I did. This is a Spanish movie that goes from a violent comedy to insane over-the-top horror complete with giant CGI monsters and hundreds of extras cavorting in mansions, caves and creepy villages. The build up from funny heist movie to Ragnarok-level destruction reminded me of "The World's End". So prepare yourself for lots of hard-to-read yellow subtitles, fasten those seatbelts and enjoy the ride! Re: "Witching and Bitching" aka "Las brujas de Zugarramurd" - cranefly - 10-27-2015 Well, son of a gun. The Mountain View Library carries this. Not certain when I'll take a gander. There's a lot about to hit the fan right now. Will be helping my Sifu move his warehouse once again starting Thursday, which could take many days. Then Lady Cranefly and I are each committed to writing a novel in November. True, I could check it out now before all that happens. But right now I'm focused on figuring out a switch the Lady and I discovered a few days ago. I opened up a wall to repair a pocket door, and there's a damned switch rigged up in there -- inside the wall. We've taken turns toggling it while the other checks lights, fans and whatever throughout the house and even outdoors. It's got us totally baffled. Anyway, every now and then I'll toggle the son of a bitch just for the hell of it. |
