Best Grateful Dead documentary I've seen in years. The Dead story is so crazy and epic that it's really tough to distill it down to a cohesive documentary. By focusing on Bobby, this one achieves a nice snapshot of his journey. Lots of rare footage - stuff I've never seen. Mostly though, it focuses on the music. the Other one is one of my favorite songs and it's well showcased here.

sort of miserable really. bobby told a stupid cat joke. we watched the skeleton mannequins wobble to ToG being replayed over and over again until we got bored and took the long night trek back to camp.

Saw this one. Very well done. A nice mix of hanging out with Bob Weir and the story of the Grateful Dead. Lots of great anecdotes.
