The Lost Boys (1987) - Drunk Monk - 05-01-2015 I figured I'd revisit this now that I'm back in Santa Cruz. It's so dated now, but it's fun to see the Boardwalk from back in the day. Kiefer is still pretty good, but the rest of the flick comes off super cheesey in that made-for-TV (even though it wasn't) late 80s way. This film sorely needs a remake. There's a great metaphor for following the herd in this film, but it is so overshadowed by its datedness now. I should check out Sudden Impact again soon. Re: The Lost Boys (1987) - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-01-2015 I swore I thought they already did make a remake. But no. Though there is a rumor of a remake. Sondra Locke, though? Re: The Lost Boys (1987) - thatguy - 05-03-2015 I'd buy this, but I'd rather lose 20 pounds a different way: http://www.lastexittonowhere.com/shop/p ... r-t-shirt/ ![]() --tg good one, tg - Drunk Monk - 05-04-2015 i would totally rock that shirt. i'd never buy it though. I don't buy Ts. I got so many damn Ts. besides it would have looked better on me when i had wild 80s boofed hair... Tomorrow! - Drunk Monk - 06-20-2017 ttt 4 2017. There was no remake but I've learned there were two sequels which I've yet to see. Santa Carla - Drunk Monk - 06-21-2017 It was packed. The beach was cut in half by the tide - never seen the water so far in. Good thing climate change is a myth. I met up with some RM friends who were about 20 ft from the sea as people tried to build a sand wall. It was breached and several people got wet but we were ok. Tara hooked up with some school friends elsewhere. Stacy tried to foment over after work but it was too packed. Tara & I made it to the intermission then bailed because it was too cold and there were too many tourists smoking cheap cigars and fruity ass vapes. It was fun though, especially the beginning with so many shots of the boardwalk. Tara was glad she saw it after she stopped working there because she could relate to the security guard who gets snatched at the beginning of the film being the last to leave. We walked home over the bridge, joking about jumping in and waking up at home in bed. We were followed by a dude on a lightwired silver fish bike. Good ol' Santa Carla.
