Let me put it this way, the makers of this film were not afraid to blow things up. And what more do you want out of a film. Yes, I played with the action figures when I was of age,but I never saw the Saturday morning cartoon, so I didn't get all the inside jokes. But I do get get the bit on Robot Chicken about the wall of Fallen Heroes.
Watch it for the explosions, but try not to pay attention to the dialogue and plot.
