Sam Raimi took a break from the Spiderman to make this low budget, low meaning a lot less than Spidey but still millions and millions, horror film which hearkened back to his Evil Dead roots. It was pretty good but not very scary because the tricks are the same old tricks. But he does them well. Not a lot of blood, but a lot of cool gross out effects. My favorite involved a kitten.
The plot was slight. Basically, a loan officer rejects an evil gypsy's request for an extension on her home loan. The Evil gypsy curses her in return for the shame. There will be three days of terror and then she will be dragged to hell. Let the fun begin. This film would have been great to have watched with the brotherhood as shadows attack, eyeballs pop out of cake and then there is the kitten. Good times. I might bring this to the next Doom night.

DM & LB watched the original Evil Dead countless times. That was during the MQ6 daze. We built our friendship watching that flick.
