Fighting - Drunk Monk - 08-26-2009
A warmed over underground fight circuit flick, with the ol' lose-the-fight-for-the-big-payola schtick, coupled with a 'wish you were here' love postcard of NYC. Wound up liking Channing more than I thought I would, even tho all he does is flex his cheek muscle. Terence wasn't bad either, but it didn't make sense that a 2 bit hustla was so connected. A $100K purse fight after only 3 previous fights? Come on. A friend plays a villain, and only appears for the scene where he gets his ass kicked. It's the best fight of the flick (the rest are filmed way too jiggly). And considering the title, I expected more than just 4 fights.
