Punisher: War Zone - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 04-06-2009

I needed the full on Brotherhood to watch this one. It had the full on ultraviolence slathered on top of the implausability. The perfect cocktail in Doom movies.

We all know this story. It's Batman with guns and not afraid of killing? Frank Castle laces on the guns and goes out killing. I think there's a plot in there some where but it does just slow things down. It was something about Cosa Nostra bringing in some biological agent for the russian mob. Then this guy gets thrown in a class crusher. And Frank Castle hangs from a chandelier upside down so he can revolve and shoot people at this dinner party. It ends with a big building full of bad guys and Castle has to go in and save this girl. Whatever. Just reload and keep going.

They didn't do enough with his outfit, though. You could barely make out the skull. Watch this one with someone you love.

He did, but Maeve slept through most of it. I was busy cleaning the kitchen. The one scene I caught amused me: the guy sitting on the toilet who seems to think it was unfair to get his head completely blown off while he's sitting on the can.

I liked this better than the last one.

The first massacre was poetry in mayhem (the neck-snapping bit was definitely unexpected).

What moron decided Newman (from Seinfeld) was a good choice as The Punisher's weapons dealer and confidant? Ruined all believability!
