American Gangster - thatguy - 02-07-2009
Saw this last week, but forgot to mention it. Ridley Scott directs. Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe. Based on a true story. Late 60's, early 70's. Denzel is a drug kingpin, Russell is the investigator trying to catch him. It's a long movie and since you know the two are going to cross paths eventually, it seems to take a while to get moving. Still, it's well done. Feels like a long episode of "The Wire" caught in a time-warp and sent back 25 years.
