It seems odd that I'm watching the stoner films but I do seem to keep watching them. They aren't getting any better. This one might be the nadir.
Seth Rogen smokes pot. James Franco deals it. Seth witnesses a murder by Franco's connection. Seth and Franco must run for their lives. Somewhere along the way the action/buddy/stoner film was supposed to be funny. Do you remember those funny bits from the trailer? Neither do I. I think there was one laugh in the film. The rest was just self-indulgent. I think the Apatow gang made too many succesful films by not putting a lot of effort into them.
The bad reason I rented this film other than the fact I heard it was funny was I knew the Construction Coordinator. I'm coming to the conclusion that's not a good reason to see a film.
