This movie totally rocks! The reviews all suck! Go see it in Imax! Colors! Flying talking heads! Car racing that's actually fun to watch! Obviously bad bad guys! No twisty confusing subplots! Christina Ricci! A character arc for John Goodman! Racer X! Speed Racer-y soundtrack!

Weird to see Emile Hirsh in this role after "Into the Wild". He didn't seem quite as "goody-two shoes", "What's he doing with Trixi!?!" as the cartoon character. Also, Susan Sarandon has a pretty big part as Speed's mother. I don't remember a mother character in the cartoon....
Definitely a big screen movie. I didn't see it in IMAX, that might have been mind numbing. The colors are wild in this movie.
