They put me under for all of my knee surgeries, so they will likely hit you with a dart. They'll prolly also do a nerve-block that will last for several hours.

What will this surgery entail exactly? Replacing your shoulder with pig tendon? Bionics? Pins?

The doctor is going to make three small incisions into my shoulder. He will put a camera through one and tools through the other. Using the camera, he will use the tools to reconnect the tendon end which is currently about two inches away from where it should be attached.
No word yet on whether it will be live-streamed.

I've been looking at slip on shoes to wear during the recovery. Which is a great idea. Still have to put on the socks, though. I guess the argument is you can probably drag the socks on one handed. Very hard to tie a shoelace knot one handed. I've been practicing doing things with just the right hand. For instance, I did the Oakhurst errand run using just the right hand. This is going to be great!

I get to go to the Kaiser Pharmacy today to pick up a big bucket of pills for the surgery. I'm not happy about taking a potentially addictive pain killer.

The Oxy is great! It will be your best friend while you need it, then you’ll just keep the leftovers for when something bad happens. If you are not already addicted to something, it won’t be a problem.
