Ah, Kaiser.
Just got a call about my shoulder appointment for Friday. My doctor will be in surgery and they want me to reschedule. Fine. They want an afternoon appointment on the same day. Which I can do but it's a pain leaving Fresno on Friday afternoon in Yosemite traffic. The appointment nurse says they can reschedule to next week. I explain about the funeral. Then they ask if it would help if I did an appointment in Oakhurst? That would be great! They want to do it on the day of the funeral.
I schedule for the afternoon at Friday. Ten minutes later I get a call saying there has been a cancellation and they can see me at my original time on Friday morning.

Good excuse to get out of the funeral, though.

Sounds like a severe case to have gone on so long.
For a fleeting moment, I wondered if I had that when I had that little run of red diarrhea. Maybe I did because it was shortly after Mexico, but I drank filtered water and ate cleanly.
Hope whatever cure course you’re on heals you quickly. Can’t have a spurting yeti, no matter how svelte.

Actually a friend of mine had it for the better part of a year. It went in waves. Flareup with explosive shitting, then nothing for a while. Then repeat. But clearly he didn't have it as bad.

MRI's are fun! The machine makes funny noises really loud (please accept any hearing protection that they offer). The hard part is staying awake

Shoulder surgery in a month or so. Minimally invasive. Maximum pain. The doc says shoulder surgeries are the most painful

I forgot to ask about whether they were going to put me under. But I hope so. It is an outpatient procedure. It takes a lot of local anesthetic to get me numb. They did say they will prescribe narcotics for me post surgery.
