I still have that wheelchair for CF, but as you can see reviewing this thread, I’ve been busy.
I’ll work a bit today then head to svale to get my mom settled back in her assisted living place, now hospice. I’m told there will be paperwork and briefings. Then I’ll work a bit more at my mom’s house, then meet Greg for dinner somewhere where we can commiserate. Maybe we’ll just talk about crotches.
Tomorrow is Chinese New Year and it’s tradition to stay up all night, or at least stay up late, this New Year’s Eve. Not sure if I’ll observe that this year. I’ve got the screeners for the end of Cobra Kai…

Chinese New Year traditions are insane. There are so many superstitions. I barely observe any of them because there’s just too much. It’s even more absurd than Merc n Ret. On New Year’s Eve, you’re supposed to stay up late, even see the night through. Dm once dropped acid to stay up at St Barbarian (the funky house where we lived after Castle Highland). That was a trip in that house. Dm had a long conversation with Ginger cat until she left sayin ‘u trippin. I’m going to sleep.’
Today I’ll check in to see that my mom has settled then go home. Gotta work for the rest of the day, then take Yuki for walky, then maybe start in on those Cobra Kai screeners.

No worries. He's chugging along with his rollator, but for some reason he doesn't want to stop and chat with the little old Russian ladies who park on the sidewalk, sit on their rollator seats, and smoke.

I can understand his Russian rollator aversion, especially if they’re smokers. February is always tight for me, even without my mom’s present situation. I need to make a hole to see you two.
Today is a triple telemeet Thursday with a potential 4th extra meeting pending. Then I must catch up on other work, Iaido tonight.

There was construction on our street right in front of our bungalow. They turned our water off for a bit - aren't they supposed to warn us first? I had something to flush...

Just finished yoga - a much needed restorative class - and am now enjoying breakfast at the Bagelry next door. Then it’s a work day, plus writing for Den.
For weeks I’ve had tonight’s China Cats show at Vets Hall on my calendar. I had such fun there on NYE that I said I’d go whenever I could. But the big appeal is that I can walk there and stumble home and the coming rains dampen that, so I’m gonna bail. Besides, I need rest. It’s been an exhausting 2 weeks since Mexico and I need some down time.

Kung Fu is a drag when it rains. I train on my own out of the gracious permission of the school but the class takes the floor inside so I’m kinda left out in the cold. Then over to visit mom with Tara. Then home again. Hope the rain isnt too bad on hwy17.
