Popped awake randomly just now. I had a nitecap - a shot of Tullamore Dew - because I heard on the radio that it was Irish coffee day and there’s no coffee at my moms. I think it just wore off which is why I woke.
So I’m surfing the net on my phone and answered some work emails. Now I’m ruminating about the pandemic and worried about the state of our country.
I’m also randomly hoping spellcheck fuks with this post in some amusing way for Greg to comment upon because it’s late and I’m posting with only one eye open and not looking back to see if my thumbs are pecking this post out accurately.

Ah, 3am, my old friend we meet again. Popped right awake. Dani was snoring away. I think the donut causes it. But my brain decided it needed to ponder last night's movie some more rather than return to REM.

Popped awake when my gin nitecap wore off. Been chipping at my dad’s liquor cabinet because no one else is and just finished his tanqueray gin. Popped awake around 3, surfed fb and posted a few random babbles here. I think I can go back to sleep now.

2am DOG ALERT. I thought I had forestalled the dog alert by removing the cat food bowls from the garage. The night before the DA went off because a raccoon had come by for a snack. Havoc and Mayhem, however were barking from the living room. Something on the porch was disturbing them. I opened the door off our bedroom to shoo away the culprit. I found a cow. That's not typical. We stared at each other before she went around the corner. I followed cursing the darkness or I would have taken pictures. Around the corner was a second cow. Both gave me the stink eye before turning tail and moseying off.
After that interaction I was up and awake. Restless until the 4am alarm woke me from a dream where I was just going to bed in my parents house.

Damn. Still tweaking off the EEAAO screener. I was in the same room as Michelle Yeoh! Never mind that I was an auditorium’s distance away. So close!
I haven’t slept well since Tuesday. Feckin time change. I’m gonna crash hard soon…hopefully not at the wrong time, like when driving 17 or something…

My sleep patterns had just fallen back to something more regular but I went down early this night which means I’m up now.
I should really turn on my laptop and write - I’m so behind on writing right now. Or I should watch a Jimmy Wang Yu movie. Or just get back to feckin sleep.
